Magma Activity

Magma activity can be divided into two, namely:
1. MAGMA intrusion
Ie breach of magma from the bowels of the earth that is not up to the surface of the earth
Is called the intrusion of magma intrusion or plutonisme.
Igneous rocks formed from these events are called intrusive.

Magma intrusion events can result in:
a. Gang or dikes
That is the result of intrusion of magma rocks that cut the layers of the lithosphere with flat or plate shape.
b. Sills or intrusion keeping batolit
Namely the frozen magma inserts between two layers of the lithosphere, relatively thin, and wide.
c. Batolit
That is igneous rock that formed in the magma chamber, because the drop in temperature is very slow.
d. Apofisis
That is a relatively small alley, a branch of the alley (dikes).
e. Diatrema
Namely the eruption of rock filler pipe, cylindrical from the magma chamber to the surface of the earth.
f. Lakolit
Ie igneous rock derived from magma recharge between two layers of the lithosphere and formed like a convex lens, essentially flat.
g. Lopolit
Ie igneous rock derived from magma recharge between two layers of the lithosphere and the formation of a convex lens shape, essentially concave.
h. Pacolit
Ie igneous rock derived from magma recharge between two layers of the lithosphere and form a flat formation, with essentially concave.

2. Extrusion MAGMA (eruption)
Namely the release of magma to the Earth's surface because of pressure from within, through cracks or holes crater.
By their very nature, the eruption of magma may be:
a. Eruption (explosive)
b. Melt (effusive)

Classification extrusion:
a. Based on the shape and position of the hole and materials issued:
1.) Linear eruption (eruption Hemisphere)
2.) Eruption area
3.) Phreatic eruptions (Volcanic Eruption Semi)
4.) Central eruption
Based on the nature and strength ladakannya central eruption is divided into three:
a.) effusive eruption
This eruption is melted. Effusive eruption occurs because the nature of the weak pressure magma gases with materials issued in the form of molten lava.
b) an explosive eruption
These explosive eruptions. Explosive eruptions occur because of the strong pressure of the gas causing an explosion that spewed volcanic material solid and liquid.
c) Mixed Eruption
Mix of effusive eruptions and explosive eruptions.
b. Based on the location of the center of the eruption:
1.) Eruption center (Terminal Eruption)
The main channel lies in the pit crater eruption.
2.) Leleran side (Subterminal Eruption)
Magma (which form the sill) through to the surface, on the slopes of the volcano.
3.) Circular excavation (Ring Dike)
Serves as a channel magma to the surface.
4.) Eruption outside the center (Excentric Eruption).
Occurred at the foot of the volcano with its own magma channel system that has nothing to do with the main crater hole.
